Get Up, Get up, Get up, Get Going.
When it comes to healthy living we all know that picking things up and down and moving our body is important. (and I am not talking about reading Reader’s Digest at the toilet.) However so many of us get pressured into doing things because they are percieved as trendy and cool. Let’s not even try to pretend that running isn’t super trendy and popular right now. More and more people everywhere I go are training to run a race. I think that is absolutely amazing! However, I also hear about how much they hate it and just want to get the race done with. Why do it if you don’t love it. There are so many options out there these days. You are bound to be totally in love with one of them.

One of my absolute favorite things on earth is hiking. I could hike everyday of my life. My dream job would have me dragging tourists up and down all the hils and across all the canyons of the world. It’s a true passion and luckily it has some awesome health benefits. I did just that. I set out on a 5 mile butt grinding hike. 2.5 miles of constant uphill gaining 2,000 feet is a good workout. But beyond that it is theraputic mentally, appealing to the eyes, and makes the firmest little tush. (Seriously wish I had anything that resemembled a tush.) A couple of photos from the hike. So beautiful. Even though it is hard, I never wanted it to end.

So next time you go out to challange yourself be sure that you love what you are doing. Are you doing what you love, or are you just trying to impress people? It’s all about being health and finding something you stick with. If you don’t have your health then all the wonderful things in life seem useless. Find that thing you love and become the best you can at it. Push yourself. Lucky for me I have found so many amazing things.
